Pipelife offers durable corrugated cable protection pipes for safe installation of underground electrical and data cables in the ground. These pipes are double-walled constructions – the outer wall is corrugated (grooved) to ensure mechanical strength, while the inner wall is smooth, which facilitates cable insertion. The protection pipes are made of especially durable thermoplastic materials polyethylene (PE) and/or polypropylene (PP), which ensure high impact resistance and durability even in aggressive environmental conditions. The standard color is red (signal color), which visually warns of the presence of electrical cables. The pipes do not contain halogens and are chemically resistant – they are resistant to most soil acids, alkalis and other chemicals. Thanks to the high-quality raw materials and construction, the expected service life exceeds 50 years, and a manufacturers warranty is provided for a period of 5 years.
Standards and compliance: Pipelife corrugated cable protection pipes comply with LVS EN 50626-1 : “Built-in conduit systems for the protection and routing of insulated power or communication cables. Part 1: General requirements”. This new European standard defines the requirements, tests and safety criteria for underground conduit systems made of PE or PP and intended for installation in the ground by simple burial or pulling - trenchless methods. The pipes have an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +70 °C, ensuring stable performance in both winter frost and summer heat. The high quality of the material also guarantees resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions during short-term outdoor storage.

Technical information
Pipelife corrugated conduits are available in several mechanical strength classes and diameter sizes to suit different installation requirements. Three main compressive strength classes are produced: 450N, 750N and 1250N (the compressive load that the pipe can withstand according to standard tests). The table below summarizes the technical parameters and dimensions for each class:
