Use:


PIP-5A cable junction box is a new cable distribution junction box featuring E90 fire resistance, and is offered by W2 company. The PIP-5A enables branching of 5-conductors leads having 4 mm2 maximum cross-sectional area. The main intended use of the fire box is connecting of supply and synchronizing leads for actuators of smoke flaps. Its structure enables in practice connection of arbitrary number of actuators. The only limitation is cross-sectional area of supply cord and current-carrying capacity, amounting to 16A.



Construction:


The PIP-5A is made from steel sheet, powder coated in red. There are ceramic connector cubes inside it, providing proper resistance to fire. Connector cubes are stacked in order to simplify connecting of wires to a maximum degree. There is a fire-proof connection between the cubes (under metal shields). Connecting wires can be introduced into the box both through the seal wires from substrate side, and the seal wires inside walls of the box. Maximum diameter of a lead that can be introduced into the box, equals to 16 mm.
A single cable junction box, installed in smoke evacuation system enables connection of three independent actuators (three smoke flaps with single drive) or single smoke flap with two actuators and module of line termination.
